SwiSys – About Us

SwiSys was established in 2016 by a Professor Jing-Jou Tang from Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology and a group of technologists with an electronic engineering background. It is an automotive electronics and communication solutions focused on CAN Bus, OBDII and SAE J1939. standards.

SwiSys is a well-known CAN Bus solution provider for In-Vehicle-Networking (IVN) in Taiwan. The main moto of SwiSys is to help our customers to overcome vehicle safety challenges and retrieve the control signals over the CAN bus and Lin Bus protocols towards multiple vehicle models .

Our high determined solution OBDII (for Light Duty Vehicle) and J1939 (for Heavy Duty Vehicle) bridge can excellently stand as a gateway between internal IVN and external IOT. The standard technology, which we have designed, is able to access and analyze even the minor data pertaining to driver behavior and vehicle condition, which will eventually be helpful in such cases of fleet management systems or usage-based insurance (UBI).

The keen area where we pleasantly expertise lies in CAN Bus signal processing and feel proud collaborating with you on CAN Bus related applications. Experiencing more than 5+ years in CAN Bus applications, we predominantly ensure supporting you on circuit design, function verification, physical protection, and networking administration on the CAN Bus system.

To state in general, any OBDII/J1939 related application relies on the specific domain knowledge of CAN Bus protocol (proposed by Bosch in 1983). Keeping our persistent experience as a base and our in-depth understanding of OBDII/J1939 standards, including proprietary CAN Bus signal processors with two IC design houses in Taiwan, we ensure providing an even higher integrated product solution for automotive black box.

In order to meet all the application needs and your basic requirements, we make sure providing a set of flexible command collections, to read the OBDII/J1939 or CAN Bus data, efficiently. These applications can be customized for uses in HUDs, engine performance logs, vehicle diagnosis for maintenance/service, fleet management, or air pollution monitors.

We facilitate sharing samples of  “OBDII to Bluetooth 4.x” for testing and demonstration. Other solutions such as “OBDII to UART” or “OBDII to 3G/4G” are also readily available upon your request.

To ensure high quality and reliability, we are in compliance with ISO standards such as 15765-4/11898-2/16845-2/SAE J1939.
